Scott Eggener, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Surgery/Urology at the University of Chicago and Director of Translational and Outcomes Research within the Section of Urology. His research and clinical interests focus on improving the management and outcomes for patients with localized prostate cancer with specific emphasis on active surveillance, focal therapy, and optimizing surgical outcomes. He currently is the principal investigator on 4 prostate cancer clinical trials and coordinates the Active Surveillance program for prostate cancer at the University of Chicago. He has published extensively on prostate cancer with 50 peer-reviewed publications and multiple on surgery, active surveillance or focal therapy for prostate cancer.
